Lourdes is s funny mix. Seemingly hundreds of hotels and scores of tacky souvenir shops contrasted by the grand and peaceful Sanctuary area and La Grotte of Saint Bernadette.
With the Tourmalet coming up it was no time to be dismissive of Pagan rituals, so we had our legs splashed and hopefully blessed by the holy waters of La Grotte.
